Hydra Energy’s Hydrogen Station in Prince George, Canada, has been delayed due to long lead items and new requirements from the BC Environmental Review (BCER). The delay raises concerns about regulatory hurdles and the potential for missed opportunities for decarbonization efforts in the region. The $62-million facility is expected to produce 3,250 kilograms of low-carbon hydrogen per day and can refuel up to 24 converted trucks per hour. Once operational, the facility will be used to facilitate the transition to hydrogen-powered transportation.
