House Republicans Urge Increased Offshore Oil Sales to Address Global Demand and Boost Energy Security, Says Stauber.

Pete Stauber (R-Minn), chair of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, suggested that U.S. offshore oil could help fill the gap between global demand and falling discoveries. Staubers also suggested that providing more opportunities to lease offshore energy resources was a crucial step towards a more secure, sustainable and prosperous offshore energy future for future generations.
