House Republicans Push to Lift Biden’s LNG Export Terminal Pause Amid Economic Concerns and Opposition from Democrats.

House Energy and Commerce Republicans are urging for the immediate cancellation of the Biden administration’s pause on new gas export terminals. The event took place in Port Arthur, Texas, as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La) prepares to release a Ukraine aid package that could include language opposing the pause. Green groups and many Democrats have warned against accepting such a plan. Republicans argue that reversing the LNG pause is essential due to the economic headaches it is causing.
