House and Senate Approve $14.7 Billion Funding for Interior Department, Including Grand Canyon Renovation Funds

The fiscal 2024 Interior Department funding package is set for approval by the House and Senate. The bill would provide $14.7 billion for the department, which is roughly what the department received in the comparable fiscal 2023 appropriation. However, there are still restrictions on protecting the sage grouse or regulating lead ammo on wildlife refuges. The funding includes $180.6 million for renovating the Grand Canyon National Park’s utility system.
