Hithium and US developer Perfect Power have signed a 1GWh battery MOU to supply battery products to Perfect Power, which is focused on distributed energy storage in California and Texas, the US’s two largest markets for energy storage. The agreement aims to support projects in these states, which are smaller end of utility-scale projects that benefit from a faster grid interconnection process in Texas. Hithium chairman Jeff Wu praised the partnership, stating it aims to further the penetration and deployment of advanced energy storage products into the Net Zero transition in the US. This partnership follows Hith’s recent launch in Europe and raise US$620 million in capital for capacity expansion, equipment purchases and research and development.
