H2Diesel, Inc. has filed a patent titled “Method of Enhancing Diesel Fuel Combustion by Adding Reformed Hydrogen to the Diesel Fuel”. The patent is aimed at improving diesel engine efficiency and reducing emissions through the use of hydrogen. Unlike traditional diesel fuel improvements, this method involves a multi-step process involving hydrogen gas being extracted from liquid diesel using a reformer or hydrogen generation system, agitated into the liquid diesel, producing a homogeneous mixture, then compressed at high pressures, and ignition. This approach could lead to better fuel atomization, more complete combustion, and reduced pollutant emissions.
