Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI), a subsidiary of the Libra Group, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 100 MW solar project in southeast Saskatchewan. The project, once completed, will rank among the top ten largest solar facilities in Canada and be valued at about $200 million. The partnership between Saturn Power and Ocean Man First Nation formed an entity called Iyuhána Solar, which will construct and operate the facility for the next 25 years. The facility is large enough to power the equivalent of 25,000 homes and will also provide training and employment opportunities for band members. This partnership will bring great opportunities for Ocean Man first Nation, including employment and revenue.
