Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure, a clean energy business of Libra Group, will partner with Saturn Power Inc and Ocean Man First Nation in building a 100-MW solar farm in Saskatchewan, Canada. The project, awarded to Iyuhana Solar, will be one of the 10 largest solar sites in the country and will cost CAD 200 million and produce enough electricity to power about 25,000 homes. The output will be supplied to SaskPower under a 25-year power purchase agreement, making it Canada’s largest solar utility offtake deal since 2015. This project is expected to be the first of many planned solar projects in Saskatchewan and aligns with SaskPower’s goal of supporting the construction of about 3,000 MW of new renewable power capacities in the region by 2035.
