GHD to Implement California Clean Hydrogen Hub with $1.2 Billion DOE Award, Creating 220,000 Jobs.

GHD will assist in the implementation of a new California Clean Hydrogen Hub following a $1,2 billion award by the US Department of Energy. The work will involve the Northern California Power Agency’s (NCPA) Lodi Energy Center’s Hydrogen Project, a project that is now positioned to become a key hydrogen production facility. GHD will partner with ARCHES (Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrolog Energy Systems), a public-private partnership created to establish a sustainable statewide clean hydrogen hub and accelerate renewable hydrogen projects. The California hub is one of seven regional hubs that will receive $7 billion in BIL funding to accelerate the U.S. market for low-cost, clean hydrogen. The state estimates that 220,000 new jobs will be created by the California hub, including 130,000 in construction.
