GameChange Solar confirms Genius Tracker’s 40-year maintenance-free performance, expands U.S. manufacturing capacity to 35 GW.

GameChange Solar, a solar tracker specialist, has confirmed its accelerated testing of the Genius Tracker drive system for its 40-year design life without needing maintenance. The testing was conducted according to the Accelerated Mechanical Cycling section of the IEC 62817 standard, which ensures consistency in testing for issues such as water ingress, cracks, loose screws, etc., and adherence to standard industry procedures. The company claims the test demonstrates that the Genius tracker drive system will hold up to 40-years of trusted performance, resulting in reduced maintenance costs and a lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE). GameChange Solar also announced its expansion to 35 GW of annual U.S. domestic manufacturing capacity, an increase of 11 GW from its output in 2023.
