Fronius USA has hosted a three-day firefighter solar safety training session at its US headquarters in Indiana. The training focused on educating local fire department officials on the safety features and rapid shutdown procedures for solar power equipment, including PV systems, energy storage, and electronic vehicle chargers. The Solar Solutions Management team at Fronius USA provided technical training to the firefighters, emphasizing the importance of understanding how solar inverters work and how to safely handle solar energy equipment. Firefighters were also taught about Fronios Arc Guard technology, which automatically detects arcs in the DC circuit and interrupts faults to ensure photovoltaic system protection. The company plans to host future trainings with its in-house solar staff to support local fire departments in solar safety education.
