Layne Bangerter, a former EPA official under the Trump administration, will be on the Republican primary ballot in Utah as one of two candidates for lieutenant governor in the Republican Party’s Republican primary race. Bangerster, who was a senior adviser for congressional and intergovernmental affairs at EPA in 2017, was chosen by gubernatorial hopeful Phil Lyman as his running mate. Lyman and Bangeratter will compete against incumbent Gov. Spencer Cox and Lt. Deidre Henderson in the June 25 primary.
