First Element Fuel to Open Hydrogen Refueling Station for Heavy Trucks in Port of Oakland by Year-End.

First Element Fuel has announced plans to open its first hydrogen station for refueling heavy trucks in the Port of Oakland, California. The new installation is meant to target an entirely different market, heavy trucks, and is expected to open before the end of the year. The station will have a 15,000-kilogram daily capacity and will also be available to serve passenger vehicles and medium-duty vehicles. The company’s stations based in California have a daily volume of about 1,500 kilograms of H2, and standards for fast-fill have not been established yet.
