Hydro-Québec’s BESS arm, EVLO Energy, has launched a 5MWh product called SYNERGY, which meets the NFPA 69 standard and is UL 9540 certified and can run for up to 9,125 cycles over 25 years without needing battery replacements. This move aligns with the company’s commitment to safety and quality as top priorities. The company’s existing product, EVLOFLEX, has 2.5MWh per 20-foot unit and exceeds safety standards. In addition, EVLA Energy has commissioned its first grid-scale BESS project in the US, a 3MW/12MWh project in Troy, Vermont.
