Entergy Mississippi to Build Advanced Natural Gas Power Station in Greenville, Enhancing Reliability and Reducing Emissions.

Entergy Mississippi is building a natural gas power station, combined-cycle combustion turbine power station in Greenville, Mississippi, to ensure customers have reliable energy in the future. The dual-fuel facility is designed to support blended hydrogen and is expected to be completed in 2028. The company plans to retire the Gerald Andrus Steam Electric Station and replace older power plants with more advanced technology, reducing carbon emissions. The new power station will produce more electricity from the same amount of fuel using advanced technology.
