Energy Justice Groups Urge Florida Power & Light to Expand Energy Conservation Goals for Greater Efficiency

Energy justice groups have urged Florida Power & Light Co. to significantly expand its energy conservation programs beyond a pending proposal for the next 10 years. MacKenzie D. Marcelin of the group Florida Rising has filed testimony in the energy conservation cases of six utilities regulated by the PSC. She proposed doubling or tripling the energy efficiency goals of Florida Power and Light, the state’s largest utility with 5.8 million customers, as well as praising Duke Energy Florida for having more aggressive conservation goals.
