Energy Capital Partners (ECP) is in advanced discussions to take Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure plc (NASDAQ:AY) private, with a potential agreement expected within the next few weeks. No formal agreement has been made yet, but it is possible for the parties to walk away from a transaction. Atlantic has a portfolio of renewable energy, storage, efficient natural gas and heat, transmission lines and water assets in North and South America and certain markets in the EMEA. The company’s renewable energy portfolio comprised 2,171 MW in operation as of end-2023 and was recently boosted with the acquisition of two wind assets in Scotland. Shares in Atlanticas rose 2.39% to close at USD 21.42 in New York on Thursday.
