Energy and climate advocates push for “energy dominance” at Republican National Convention, highlighting clean energy’s growing presence.

Energy industry and climate advocates have been active at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, using their platforms to present their case for the party’s “energy dominance” vision. Officials from oil, natural gas, electric utilities, renewables and climate action were present at the event to discuss how they fit into the vision of former president and presidential nominee Donald Trump. While some advocates fit more naturally into the GOP’s pro-fossil-fuel agenda, observers noted that the clean energy presence was more prominent than at previous conventions.
