EDP Renovaveis Reports 3% Drop in Q1 2024 Renewable Output Amid Asset Rotation Deals in Brazil and US.

EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) saw its renewable power output fall 3% year-on-year to 9.9 TWh in Q1 2024, driven by a sharp decrease in renewables generation due to asset rotation in Brazil, particularly in Brazil. The company also closed two asset rotation deals, one in the US for an 80% stake in a solar portfolio and another in Canada. The installed capacity in EDPR’s renewables portfolio rose to 16.5 GW, with Europe and North America accounting for 36% and 50% respectively. The firm currently has 4.6 GW of new capacity under construction.
