DOE Announces $7.5 Million Funding for Advanced Technologies to Enhance Power Grid Reliability and Resilience.

The Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Electricity (OE) has announced $7.5 million in funding to support projects using cutting-edge data analytics and sensor technologies to enhance grid reliability and resilience. The selected projects will demonstrate advanced monitoring and control capabilities necessary for modernizing the nation’s power grid. The DOE’s commitment is to ensure a reliable, resilient, and secure electricity system during integration of renewable energy sources and distributed energy resources (DERs). The projects will use advanced data analytics to address system challenges and improve overall grid performance.
