DOE Allocates $33 Million to Advance Solar Technologies for Clean Hydrogen and Renewable Fuel Production Across Seven States.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced $33 million for nine projects across seven states to develop solar-based technologies to produce renewable fuels, including clean hydrogen, and long-duration energy storage. The projects aim to reduce dependency on fossil-fuel based resources and support DOE’s efforts to develop a strong domestic clean hydrogen industry by advancing lower cost methods of producing hydrogen. The funding will also support DOE’s efforts to establish a strong, domestic cleanhyd industry.
