Daimler Truck Launches GenH2 Fuel Cell Trucks in Pilot Project with Amazon and Other Major Companies.

Daimler Truck is set to participate in the first customer test fleet deployment of its GenH2 fuel cell trucks. Companies such as Amazon, Air Products, Ineos, Holcim, and Wiedmann & Winz will host five Gen.H2 trucks to showcase the potential of hydrogen fuel cell technology in long-distance logistics. The pilot project also includes the introduction of a new liquid hydrogen refueling process, “sLH2” (subcooled liquid hydrogen), developed in collaboration with Linde, which enhances storage density and facilitates quicker refueling. The initial fleet will transport diverse cargo, including construction materials, maritime containers, and bottled gas. This pilot project aligns with Amazon’s commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
