Cubico Sustainable Investments has expanded its renewable energy portfolio in Mexico by acquiring Renantis Mexico and signing a strategic agreement with Sowitec Group to expand its portfolio in the country. The acquisitions include at least 12 solar and hybrid projects across 7 states, adding over 1.6 GW of capacity to Cubico’s development portfolio. This brings the total size of the company’s Mexican portfolio to 2.2 GW. The company’s total development portfolio now stands at 5 GW of greenfield projects across the US, UK, Spain, Italy, Australia, and Mexico. Cubico plans to use its local knowledge and expertise to expand these portfolios within existing markets.
