Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners Acquires Liberty Renewables, Expanding Onshore Wind Portfolio in New York to 1.3 GW.

Danish investment firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP) has acquired Liberty Renewables, a company with a portfolio of around 1.3 GW of onshore wind projects in New York. The acquisition was completed on behalf of CIP’s fifth flagship fund, CI V, which has a target size of EUR 12 billion. The price of the purchase was not disclosed. Liberty recently submitted a 94-C application for its first project, Hoffman Falls Wind, to New York’s Office of Renewable Energy Siting, with construction set to begin in 2026 and 2030 respectively. CIP has a track record in developing and financing renewable energy projects across multiple markets in the US.
