Consumers Energy to Supply Renewable Energy to 44 Walmart Locations in Michigan, Supporting Retailer’s Sustainability Goals.

Consumer Energy (Consumers Energy) will supply clean energy to 44 locations of US retail chain Walmart (NYSE:WMT) within its service territory in Michigan, with 90% of the energy it uses across these sites matched with renewable energy from future projects that Consumers Energy will develop in the state. The deal is part of Consumers Energy’s Renewable Energy Programme, which now covers over 30 businesses with commitments to nearly 600 MW of renewable energy. The retailer aims to use renewable energy for all its operations, with the aim of providing reliable and emissions-free power for its operations.
