Connecticut’s Attorney General, William Tong, is suing residential solar companies Sunrun and Bright Planet for alleged unlawful and deceptive sales activities in the state. The lawsuit alleges that these companies engaged in practices such as locking consumers into contracts without informed consent, including forged signatures, impersonations of consumers, non-permitted work, and non-functioning systems. Tong plans to pursue these companies in court to make these homeowners whole and stop these abusive practices.
