Colin Armstrong Named Hydrogen Leader of the Year, Advocates for Growth in Canada’s Hydrogen Infrastructure and Technology.

Colin Armstrong, President and CEO of HTEC, has been named the Hydrogen Leader of the Year at the Canadian Hydrogen Convention Awards. He has over 30 years of experience in the hydrogen industry and has been instrumental in Canada’s transition towards a sustainable energy future. Armstrong sees the potential for hydrogen fuel cell technology to be used in wide range of vehicles, including passenger cars and buses, and heavy-duty trucks, as a clean and efficient alternative to fossil fuels. HTEC is working with government agencies and stakeholders to streamline the permitting process for developing hydrogen infrastructure across Canada. He anticipates significant growth in hydrogen production, storage, and transportation growth in Canada, particularly focusing on the increasing use of liquid hydrogen due to its higher energy density and suitability for long-range applications.
