Clearway Energy Launches 152-MW Cedar Creek Wind Farm in Idaho, Powering 41,000 Homes and Creating Jobs.

US renewable developer Clearway Energy Group has begun commercial operation of its 152-MW Cedar Creek Wind facility in Bingham County, Idaho, its first clean energy project in the state. The wind farm will generate enough electricity to power 41,000 homes per year and will also begin Clearway’s 25-year power purchase agreement with US utility PacifiCorp. Clearway acquired the project from rPlus Energies in 2021 and secured financing in 2023 through consortium of four banks. The project has brought a USD-250-million investment into Idaho’s economy and created 175 jobs during construction.
