CEP Renewables Begins Construction on 19-MW Solar Project in New Jersey, Promising Clean Energy and Community Benefits.

Developer CEP Renewables has begun construction on its 19-MW DC Foul Rift solar project in White Township, New Jersey. The site had been occupied by a composting facility for almost three decades and will now host a fixed-tilt, bifacial solar module system. The project is expected to become operational by September 2024 and will provide clean energy, pollinator habitats, and increased tax revenue for the local community. As part of a public-private partnership with White Township in exchange for interconnection easement rights, CEP agreed to make a porous pavement walking path in the township’s recreational fields in return for certain interconnection rights.
