Leaders from Capitol Hill and the White House have reached a deal on Department of Homeland Security spending for fiscal 2024, potentially preventing a government shutdown. The six-bill minibus was supposed to be released last weekend to wrap up Congress’ work for the current fiscal year, but disagreements over immigration issues led to delays in progress.
