California Reps Introduce Bill to Boost Large-Scale Water Recycling Funding and Projects Across the Southwest.

California Democratic Reps. Grace Napolitano and Jared Huffman have introduced H.R. 7990, the “Large-Scale Water Recycling Reauthorization and Investment Act of 2024,” a bill co-authored by Nevada Rep. Susie Lee and Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva. The bill would extend a program first funded in the bipartisan infrastructure act in 2021. Napolitanano, ranking member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment, called for immediate funding to support existing large-scale recycling projects and establish new ones.
