California and Arizona Lead U.S. Solar Capacity with 70 MW, Boosting Renewable Energy Development Efforts.

The two states combined account for 70 MW of total solar capacity, accounting for over one-third of the total installed solar capacity in the United States. California has the highest total solar power of any state, with 63,000 megawatts (MW) of total capacity, while Arizona is the second highest with 7,400 MW. California and Arizona have implemented policies and incentives to encourage the development of solar energy in both states, including net metering and feed-in tariffs. California is the number one state in terms of solar power and has over 240,000 solar installations compared to Arizona’s 40,000 installations.
