Bureau Veritas Report Highlights Certification’s Key Role in Advancing Europe’s Green Hydrogen Leadership Amid Production Delays.

Bureau Veritas, the global director of hydrogen, has released a report on the pivotal role that certification, standardization, and global consensus play in shaping the future of hydrogen as an energy vector. Despite production delays, Europe remains a formidable contender in the race to lead the green hydrogen revolution. The report highlights the importance of clear policy directives in driving advancements within the European Union and the United States, as well as the need for transparency and clear definitions in the energy sector. It also notes that certification bodies such as Bureau Veritas are instrumental in this process, and that there is still much work to be done to establish global standards, uniform definitions, and rules to underpin international hydrogen and derivative trade. The foundation of trust and transparency is being meticulously laid.
