Tantalus Systems, a grid modernization technology company, has announced that Bolivar Energy Authority (BEA) has selected its Grid Modernization Platform (TGMP) to modernize its distribution grid. The TGMP will replace an existing advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solution and use a TRUSense Fiber Gateway to harness the capabilities of BEA’s advanced fiber network. The device is designed to provide secure integration of behind-the-meter distributed energy resources (DERs) onto the distribution system, while also capturing and analyzing granular power quality data to enhance grid resiliency.
