US solar developer Birch Creek Energy has secured financing for its 47-MWac/49-MWdc Earp Solar project in Illinois. This is the first project in Birch Creek’s independent power producer (IPP) entity to be fully financed and operational. The project was funded through tax equity, permanent debt, construction capital, and construction capital underwritten by Pathward NA bank. The plant was built on a 229-acre site in Warren County, Illinois and can produce enough electricity to power over 7,300 homes.
