Biden’s 2025 budget proposes corporate jet tax hike to boost air traffic and support local transit funding.

The Biden administration’s proposed budget for fiscal 2025 would raise taxes on corporate jets to improve air traffic across the country. Separately, it would allow local transit agencies to use federal funds to avoid fiscal problems and maintain spending on highway and bridge construction. The Department of Transportation would increase spending to about $109 billion, up from the approximately $106 billion approved for fiscal 2024. The plan is unlikely to pass Congress intact but shows the administration’s priorities for transportation.
