Biden Administration Allocates $336 Million to Combat Wildfires and Enhance Climate Resilience Across the Nation.

The Biden administration has allocated $336 million in federal funds to address past and future wildfires across the country. The funds will be distributed by the Interior and Agriculture departments as part of a multibillion effort. The money is from both the infrastructure law and the Inflation Reduction Act. $236 million will be allocated to support wildland firefighter training, rehabilitate burned areas, and invest in wildfire science. Acting Interior Deputy Secretary Laura Daniel-Davis praised the administration’s action, focusing on creating climate-resilient lands across the nation.
