Babcock & Wilcox and Black Hills Energy secure $16M grant for clean hydrogen facility in Wyoming.

Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) and Black Hills Energy have secured a $16 million grant from the Wyoming Energy Authority to advance the development of a clean hydrogen generation facility at Black Hills energy’s Neil Simpson Power Plant in Gillette, Wyoming. The project will utilise B&W’s BrightLoop™ technology, a revolutionary approach to producing clean energy from coal while addressing the issue of CO2 emissions. The plant’s design is designed to use BrightLoop technology, which can produce 15 tons of clean hydrogen daily and potentially redefine the landscape of hydrogen production. The grant is a testament to Wyoming’s commitment to fostering technological advancements in the energy sector. The ambitious project aligns with its efforts to leverage its abundant natural resources for clean energy production.
