Avangrid Surpasses 9 GW in Onshore Wind and Solar Capacity Amid Offshore Challenges at Vineyard Wind 1.

US utility holding company Avangrid Inc (NYSE:AGR) has surpassed 9 GW of onshore wind and solar capacity in the United States this summer, a milestone that provides a positive outlook for the company amid offshore issues. The company, which operates in 22 states, now has over 8 GW of installed wind capacity and around 1 GW of solar, including projects currently under construction. This milestone comes as offshore issues arise due to a burst turbine blade incident at the Vineyard Wind 1 wind farm off the coast of Massachusetts.
