Army Corps of Engineers to Protect Vulnerable U.S. Wetlands Following Supreme Court Ruling, Marks World Water Day

The Army Corps of Engineers has announced plans to conserve U.S. wetlands left vulnerable to development following a Supreme Court ruling last year. The agency will assist states with water protection programs and will use its other authorities to protect water resources that are now more vulnerable. The court’s decision leaves more than half of the nation’s remaining wetlands outside of the Clean Water Act. The announcement commemorates World Water Day.
