US renewables developer-operator Arevon Energy Inc has broken ground on its 192-MWdc Ratts 1 solar project in Pike County, Indiana. The project, located near the city of Petersburg, will generate enough electricity to power approximately 24,000 homes once up and running, according to Arevon. This comes after Arevon began construction on the nearby 60-MWac/73-MWDC Heirloom solar project, which will cost nearly $400 million. The company plans to announce the start of construction of additional utility-scale projects in Indiana soon.
