Arevia Power Signs $2.3 Billion PPA with NV Energy for Major Solar and Battery Project in Nevada.

Arevia Power, a utility-scale solar developer, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Nevada utility NV Energy for a $2.3 billion 700 MW solar project in Yerington, Nevada. The project will include 700 MW of solar and a 700 MW / 2800 MWh battery energy storage system. Once completed, the project will cover 5,141 acres and employ 1,100 people, generating $250 million in direct wages. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) will provide labor for the project and is also an investor through GCM Grosvenor’s Infrastructure Advantage Strategy. The Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) includes three solar and battery power purchase agreements (PPAs), totaling over 1,000MW of solar energy and more than 1000 MW of battery storage.
