Ameresco has completed a multi-school solar portfolio for Orange Unified School District (OUSD) in California. The systems are located at four elementary, one middle and two high school campuses. As part of the power purchase agreement, Ameresco will own and maintain the solar systems, and OUSD will purchase the power generated by each system at a fixed rate for the next 25 years. This initiative comprises seven projects, five of which are already completed, with the remaining two high schools set to be energized by 2025. The project is part of OUSD’s efforts to enhance efficiencies district-wide through sustainability and reduced fuel consumption.
