Amazon has commissioned the Amazon Solar Farm Ohio – Yellowbud, a 274-MW solar farm in Ross and Pickaway Counties, Ohio, to generate jobs, tax revenue and other activities. The solar farm is expected to generate USD 90 million in tax revenue, jobs, landowner income and charitable initiatives. Amazon has expressed its commitment to Ohio, where it is scaling up renewable energy projects and powering operations with 100% renewable energy. The farm is located in an area of 2,000 acres and is connected to the 138-kV Biers Run-Circleville transmission line.
