Alexis Pelosi Appointed Senior Climate Adviser at HUD, Overseeing Major Climate Action Programs and Funding Initiatives.

Alexis Pelosi, the niece-in-law of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, has been named as the senior climate adviser to Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge. She joined Fudge’s office in January and previously held a similar position with the HUD Community Planning and Development office in 2022. Despite her relative’s prominence in politics, Alexis Pelosi has maintained a low profile since moving to Washington from San Francisco in 2011. She is charged with executing multibillion-dollar programs in HUD’s 2021 climate action plan, which has received significant funding from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The family link between the two women runs through Alexis’ husband, Laurence Pelosi, whose father, Ronald, is an older brother of the congresswoman’s husband.
