ABB Electrification’s Smart Buildings Division led the strategic investment in Lumin, a smart technology provider. The company plans to help Lumin develop accessible home energy management solutions, which complement ABB’s residential portfolio. The investment was made with participation from Lumin’s primary institutional investor, Carbon Drawdown. The partnership aims to meet the growing demand for integrated, easy to use, flexible products and solutions to help customers effectively manage their energy usage and lower energy costs. Lumin currently offers homeowner and installer hardware and software solutions, including Lumin Edge, a modular system that includes the Edge Hub, the Edge modules and a smartphone application.
