WAL456 is an internal combustion power generation facility located in Brownsville, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). The plant operates with a capacity of 1.2 megawatts and is integrated into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The facility is operated by Wal-Mart Stores Texas, which also serves as the majority owner. The plant is unregulated and utilizes gas as its primary fuel source. Walmart, the holding company, oversees the ownership and operational management of this facility.
