Simons Farm is a solar power facility located in Ahoskie, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is part of the PJM Interconnection power control area and is operated by Simons Farm Solar. The facility is unregulated and is majority-owned by Cypress Creek Renewables, which is under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced at Simons Farm is Virginia Electric and Power Company, utilizing the abundant fuel source of sunlight to contribute to the region’s renewable energy supply.
