Electra is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Jackson, California, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 98 megawatts and is integrated into the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) power control area. The facility is regulated and is primarily owned and operated by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation. Utilizing water as its fuel source, Electra plays a vital role in contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio and ensuring reliable power supply.
